Shuffle Aces: Allen Toussaint – It’s Raining

I first heard this when listening to the fantastic Sound Opinions podcast that I’ve mentioned here before. They were interviewing Allen Toussaint, a 76-year-old American musician, composer, record producer, and influential figure in New Orleans R&B scene. Many of his songs are better known for the versions other artists have recorded, so it’s nice to showcase this track – a beautifully performed track from his 2013 album Songbook.
