Original Song: Bill On Red

I’d been listening to a bunch of stuff from Wax Tailor and RJD2 in the lead up to this track. I originally wanted to find some good sports sound bites to drop in, but stumbled across an interview Bill Russell had done, and slowly but surely started chopping it up. Once I’d established a beat using iDrum, I dropped it into Garageband and found a basketball being bounced sound clip and added that. From there it was strangely simply to add the pieces building it up. It stills feels a little thin – and I’ve subsequently started exploring the world of synth pads to “thicken up” tracks. I’m pretty happy with the end result though.
