20 Songs About September
mature ladies datingSeptember is a big month on our house – several family birthdays (and of course Father’s Day here in Australia) and yesterday I heard Earth Wind & Fire’s September for the first time in ages. It made me think of a couple of other songs about September, and before I knew it another list was underway. What is it about this month? Initial searching revealed several hundred September songs, although I have to admit there were a bunch of artists listed I hadn’t heard of and there are a lot of songs simply called September that I’m not sure aren’t covers (yes, I could listen to them all to figure it out, but there aren’t enough hours in the day!). Here, then, are the September songs that I’ve actually heard of – but I’d welcome any suggestions you’d like to add!
And if you are interested in the other months, you can check out October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July and August lists.

You forgot ‘Wet Day in September’ bya Dutch group named Pussycat.
A lot of “September” songs are referencing the 9/11 attacks in New York.
Earth Wind & Fire obviously aren’t, but if you were ever curious why so many existed… At least here in America, our artists were greatly shaken by that day.
Great list!
Most songs on this list were pre 9/11.
