RockArt: Steampunk Guitars

Not too sure how I came across this one, but I’m glad I did. The whole steampunk scene is fascinating, so it’s no wonder that there’s a steampunk guitars scene too. From what I can tell, the masterbuilder in this area is Tony Cochran. Cochran is an internationally syndicated cartoonist (the comic strip Agnes is his) but as he says himself, he just “can’t leave stuff alone”. The result is some pretty impressive creations that he assembles from a myriad of materials. He acquires the materials from garage sales, second hand stores and just about anything anyone will give him.

There’s not a lot more to say, just enjoy a few pics here of his work, and if you want more head to Tony Cochran Guitars (http://www.tonycochranguitars.com/) for more info.

RockArt is a series of posts that looks at the creative side of things: instruments, accessories, videos, photos, logos and artwork. You can find more here.
