Original Song: Moonlit Road

I first started playing around with this original song idea a few years ago – the classic sea-change story of running away from the city to go and live in a house at the end of a dirt track near the beach. A mate of mine, Owen Doyle, helped with the lyrics, and I pulled together a chord sequence I quite like… but did nothing more than that, until…

Over the past couple of weeks – as I got frustrated with progress on my other original song – I needed a diversion and started re-writing a few verses and tried to refine the chord sequence a bit. It’s a funny strumming pattern that I’m finding hard to nail and I’m probably nowhere near close enough to getting it right to be posting this song now! Still, it always feels good to get another original song out.
